STORY NUMBER 1
Hatred hits home: 6 shot at Jewish office
A Muslim man angry with Israel barged into the offices of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Friday afternoon and opened fire with a handgun, killing one woman and wounding five others before surrendering to police.
Three of the women were in critical condition late Friday.
A law-enforcement source identified the arrested suspect as Naveed Afzal Haq, 30, who until recently had lived in Everett, and said Haq apparently has a history of mental illness. Court records show Haq has a charge of lewd conduct pending against him in Benton County.
The shooting came a day after the FBI had warned Jewish organizations nationwide to be on alert after Hezbollah leaders in Lebanon and al-Qaida's second in command urged that the war raging in the Middle East be carried to the U.S. However, the law-enforcement source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said there is no evidence Haq was involved with any group.
"He said he hates Israel," said the source, who is part of the Seattle Joint Terrorism Task Force, which was called in to help investigate the shootings.
David Gomez, the assistant special agent-in-charge of the Seattle FBI office, said there is "nothing to indicate he is part of a larger organization."
"We believe he is a lone individual with antagonism toward this organization," said Gomez.
ORIGINAL STORY
No doubt this lunatic is insane. Today they are debating a retrial.
This is KAPOstein's take on the terrorist:
Anyone with even a limited understanding of mental illness understands that irrational rage or anger is one of the most common symptoms of mental illness especially mental illness that manifests itself in violent acts. Unless you want to argue that Haq is a Muslim extremist programmed to kill Jews, it is clear his mental illness led him to the attack.
If you polled most of the victims of this tragedy or the individual members of our community I have little doubt that most would say: plea bargain this out and get him locked away in a mental health facility and stop treating him like he’s Al Qaeda. Haq should be treated as any mentally disturbed violent individual would be. He should be monitored closely and incarcerated as a dangerous person. But this retrial is a betrayal of our understanding of mental illness and doesn’t characterize the liberal attitude prevalent in our community on such issues..

STORY NUMBER 2
Jewish extremist Jack Teitel held in attacks
Israeli authorities have arrested a Jewish American extremist suspected of carrying out a series of high-profile hate crimes, security officials said Sunday.
Police and Shin Bet security forces say Jack Teitel, a 37-year-old ultra-Orthodox West Bank settler, was behind the killings of two Arabs, the singling out of a peace activist and an attack on a breakaway Jewish sect over a period of 12 years.
Authorities originally suspected an extremist Jewish underground for some of the attacks. But acquaintances described Teitel, a father of four, as a lone wolf, and authorities say he acted alone.
Jerusalem police commander Aharon Franco said Teitel immigrated to Israel from Florida, and that he grew up on U.S. military bases as the son of a dentist serving in the Marines.
Franco said a joint police and Shin Bet operation nabbed Teitel and that he confessed to the crimes. Results of the police investigation will be turned over to the state prosecutor to prepare an indictment.
In the most noted attack, Teitel is accused of sending a booby-trapped gift basket in March 2008 to the home of a family of American messianic Jews in Israel, who believe that Jesus is the Messiah but still consider themselves Jewish. The explosion seriously wounded the family's 15-year-old son.
Teitel is also accused of carrying out a pipe bomb attack in September 2008 that wounded a prominent Israeli professor and peace activist, Zeev Sternhell, an expert on the history of fascism who had spoken out against West Bank settlements.
Police accused Teitel of killing a Palestinian taxi driver and a Palestinian farmer in 1997, and of stabbing and wounding an Arab in Jerusalem whom he suspected of making sexual advances. He also attempted to bomb police stations and patrols because they provided security for gay pride parades.
Teitel's lawyer, Adi Keidar, told Israel's Channel 2 TV his client is "mentally disturbed."

Here is KAPOstein's take on this terrorist.
You’ll hear countless choruses of “not me” from the settler movement. I wasn’t responsible for him. He was a lone gunman. He was mentally imbalanced. He kept to himself and never told anyone what he thought. His own brother in law claims he never even had a meal in his home. We’re not responsible. Not me.
That won’t work. There is a cancer in the midst of this movement. I don’t expect the settlers themselves to uproot this cancer. But Israel should be expected to take a stronger role in combatting the illness. And if Israel won’t, then the U.S. government should in ways I’ve already outlined here.
snip
And finally, you and I made the Jack Teitels of the radical settler movement in that the U.S. government continues to bestow tax deductions on tens of millions of donations from U.S. Jews to settlements like Shvut Rachel and countless others which are used to amass arsenals like the one he had along with other military equipment used to harrass, intimidate and even kill Palestinian civilians in the Territories.
Such inaction on the part of the IRS and federal government at ending this indirect subsidy of terror is shameful and should be ended posthaste.

So we have two stories that are basicly the same. A deranged person committing a terrorist act. Guess who KAPOstein has empathy for?
Both stories blogged on the same day. This person is as deranged as both terrorists mentioned above. Order the strait jacket now, it won't be long before it will be your daily companion. Another giant step off the ledge of reality for the pariah of Seattle. _________________ We Stand as One
